I know lots of folks haven’t been able to visit the winery due to the remodel but I hear the tasting room might be open soon. These are my neighbors to the west and this pic is an angle most folks won’t see. BTW, we delivered some killer Pinot fruit to these folks. This was the first harvest for the new building and cellar. Speaking of angle, looks like I tilted a bit when snapping the pic.
Thanks for the update, Casey. The only times I’ve visited Lazy Creek was back when Josh & Mary Beth Chandler owned the place. Josh made some terrific wines, including probably the best Anderson Valley Gewürztraminer I’ve tried - which is saying something since there are a bunch of very good ones. Any idea what Josh & Mary Beth are doing these days?
Sadly outside of name there is no Lazy Creek anymore since the Carrano’s purchased/destroyed it. From getting rid of everyone who worked with the Chandlers to bringing in a wine maker that picks really ripe and adjusts, RIP.
O…Kay…thanks for coming everyone, drive home safely.
Never figured you for a heavy trigger finger!
FWIW, a very pretty shot never mind the angle issues.
Back in the 80’s a friend, long deceased, used to send me cases of Lazy Creek wine. I wondered what happened to the winery. Looks like currently on third ownership.
Beautiful area. I could happily live there.

Their 1991 Gewürztraminer was my WWOTY in 2011.
Years ago I had a lovely visit there, and came back with a 2005 PN.
When should I crack it? Hope I haven’t waited too long.
Resurrecting this topic to see if anyone knows if Josh Chandler is maki g wine these days and where. I recall reading that he was going to buy property in Monterey but the things I find now don’t back that up.
