Wish I had seen that sale. What vintage was it?
- It was a mystery offer with some good sluething.
That’s good to know because I emailed them the same question right after the marathon and they just did not reply haha
Last week, I bought the Guarachi Meadowrock on Wine Spies and it was $59. It looks like it was the Heritage also.
In other words, a $250 wine for $39 is probably a good deal and should be a buy? Help a brother out.
Heritage is estate cab and retails for 250. Ithink both winespies and LB offered the regular meadorock which sometimes retails at 110. But usually can be found 50-80?
Costco has regular 2023 meadowrock for $68
Guess we will find out whether it’s Heritage when it’s delivered
Not the 2023 being offered, but I ran across this review of the 2016 after a google search:
2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Event (Minneapolis, MN): This is why I don’t buy anything from last bottle. This is a no Namer winery that threw their inventory over to them and is about the worst Napa wine I have sampled in a long time. Raisins, earth super thin. Short finish and dump this out. Easy pass and should cost around $9.99. I see Wine Spies also carries this and would never buy from them. So many silly sites out there. (71 points)
The Heritage Meadowrock has the word Heritage on the front label. I checked the image of the WS wine I bought and it is not heritage.
That “review” has a certain exiled-from-here self-appointed “critic” written all over it.
Anyone still have a purchase link for Elivette? I received a response to an inquiry back in early March from LastBottle informing me they were all sold out of Elivette, however, that proved to be incorrect since I purchased more of the 2008 after the fact.
I emailed after the marathon because I missed them when they were offered. Of course, should have emailed before
. Only 750 left is the 2008 for $39.
6L available for almost all vintages. Prices vary but mostly $399. Not bad for 8 bottles but when would I open such a monster?
More importantly, I have nowhere to store that thing. For those of you with large walk-in cellars, it’s always fun to have 1 or 2 big boys for looks. Buy yeah, if I’m opening 6L of wine, it’s usually a big event, and in those situations you have nobody to pour that monster either. You kind of have to pour it all out into various decanters and then serve from there.
This is the list I recently got from them. All big boys. They told me they got wiped out recently.
P.S. I had no idea 6L bottles come in “cases.”
Had this tonight. Very good with just an hour of air. 92pts. Good with or without food. Something for everyone in this bottle. $39 via the direct link someone on this board graciously shared.
By case they mean one full and one half drunk 6L

was this before or after the marathon?
Michael, It was after the marathon, a couple of days ago. He said they got cleaned out during the Marathon time period.
