for $21 the rose and arrow is great. Wouldn’t pay list price though…
109 seems high.
Think the 02 was 79 last marathon.
Enjoying the start so far
I’m here for the mystery hillside select at 4:01pm. Other than that, just a bystander.
Me too. Had it down to no boxes. But then shipping season came.
for $21 the rose and arrow is great. Wouldn’t pay list price though…
Has anyone ever paid the list price? Alleged discounts many times require further scrutiny
They’re $200 on the winery’s website. I presume at least some people buy direct.
Even at retailers who apply routine discount, you would be hard pressed to find for <$100 for the single vineyards. I would have bit but missed the chance!
To add to this, I e-mailed a question about changing an order to in person pickup and got an auto reply. Figure this might save folks some time:
Happy Holidays, Last Bottle Family! We are here Monday-Friday 8am-5pm pacific time. If your question/concern is not addressed in the below email, please REPLY back to this message and we’ll be able to help you with your original question/concern as soon as we come to your email ticket!
Otherwise, look for the header that matches your needs!:
Can I get this in time for Christmas?
Yes! Let us know the date you need by, and we can set a ship date for you.
When will my Black Friday/Cyber Monday week orders arrive?
This was a special event so please allow extra time for packages to ship and be received! We began packing on 12/4 and will continue until completed with all event wines. Once you see tracking in your account, that means the order is in the warehouse queue. Once you receive a tracking email, the package has left the facility with the carrier, and you should see an ETA on that tracking link. (Third party shipments first travel on trucks out to your area hub before handing off to the carrier, so your tracking link won’t start until they scan, but the package is moving!)
Holiday Marathon is 12/11 & 12/12. We will not begin shipping until January, and we hope to ship all states within 6 weeks from then. We’ll be focusing on finishing up Hold Release and the Black Friday/Cyber Monday event for the remainder of December.
What is the status ‘Awaiting Pickup’?
Awaiting Pickup means a label and tracking number has been created for your shipment. This status should change when scanned for transit, but sometimes technology doesn’t work. Be sure to click into your tracking link to see if there has been any movement. Once on the road, there will be a listed ETA!
I ordered a daily offer. Why hasn’t it shipped?
We currently ship daily offers within about a week’s time. Look for your tracking email which will be sent once your shipment is scanned for transit.
I ordered during the marathon in August. Where are my orders?
If you ordered during the August Marathon and selected Marathon Shipping, we emailed a survey afterward asking how you wanted your wines shipped. Customers who didn’t respond were automatically placed on Fall Shipping hold.
Our Fall Shipping Push began in October, moving state by state based on safe temperatures along transit routes and overall warehouse volume. This year’s volume has created significant delays. Hold-release emails have already gone out, and we’re working through the remaining states now. You’ll receive a tracking email as soon as your order is scanned into transit. We expect all remaining Marathon hold orders to be completed in about two-three weeks.
Why is my order on hold?
If your order is currently on hold, it’s likely for one of two reasons:
- You ordered during the August Marathon and selected Marathon Shipping. If so, see the section above.
- You selected Hold at checkout for weather or timing preferences. All hold orders follow the same Fall Shipping Push timeline described above. We are progressing state by state, releases are in full swing, and you’ll receive tracking as soon as your shipment is scanned. Our current estimate is to finish all remaining hold orders within two weeks or less.
Do you have more of this wine?
We might! We can check stock for you, but here is some info and a few questions to answer if you reply to this email:
We can place an order for you if available. Wine is $1 more than it was when featured on our website. If you purchase 6 or more bottles, you’ll receive free shipping, and you’re welcome to mix and match to reach the 6-bottle minimum.
Shipping fee for 5 bottles or fewer: $18.00
If you’d like to proceed, please confirm the following:
• Bottle quantity
• Shipping address
• Last 4 digits of the card you’d like to use
• Whether you’d like to add insurance (1% of your subtotal)
Never taken this long to ship in the past around this time. What’s going on?
Yes, we absolutely feel you on this one! The struggle is real this year. We weren’t prepared for the sheer volume, and we’ve been trying hard to ramp up our staff, extending working hours, training, and getting back on track. Normally, for a daily offer order, we would expect to ship between 2-5 business days (shooting for the earlier end of that spectrum). Events like marathons, special days/weeks, mystery cases, etc can take a little bit longer, and we’ll indicate that in the offer writeup/informational email. Once we catch up on our back log, we hope to be right back to our quick turn around!
My friend referred me. How do we get credit? or I referred a friend. How do I get my credits? or How do I refer someone?
When using a referral link, you receive $10 in credit, and the person who referred you receives $30 in credit once you place your first order.
If you were referred by someone but didn’t see your $10 credit, let us know the name and email address of the person who referred you and we can manually issue credits!
If you referred someone and didn’t see your $30 credit, either they haven’t placed their first order yet, or the link was not used. If the latter, simply ask your friend to shoot us an email at help@lastbottlewines.com to verify the referral, and we can manually issue credits.
To find your personalized link, log into your account on the website and click ‘Invite Your Friends’ in the Menu section. In the app, log in, then click ‘Invite’ at the bottom!
How do I find my order history, tracking numbers, and wine descriptions?
- Log in on the website and click Account in the upper right corner (down at the bottom in the app).
- On the next page, select Orders to view your full order history.
- If a tracking number has been assigned, select Track Shipment to view the carrier details and tracking page.
- Select any wine name in your order list to open its page with full details and the complete description (only available on the website currently, not the app). If you don’t yet see a tracking link associated with an order, there are two possibilities - If it is marked ‘Order Pending Shipment’, it hasn’t been processed yet, and no tracking has been assigned. If it is marked ‘Pending Shipment’, the order is in the warehouse to be packed, or traveling on the third party trucks (tracking will be assigned once received from the third party shipper).
Why am I not receiving my tracking notifications?
First, please check your spam folder to see if they might be there. Also, certain servers (hotmail, aol, yahoo, comcast, etc) are more finicky with emails from retailers and could be blocking us. Please check your settings. If you’ve done this, and still are not receiving them, be sure you are writing from your account email or provide us with the email address you use for Last Bottle, and we can take a look!
I’m missing a bottle!
What is the condition of the boxes and bottles that you did receive? Were the bottles individually wrapped in paper, bubble wrap, or plastic? Let us know, as this would indicate potential damage and removal in transit. If you are able to take a photo of your package, that would also be helpful.
My order is returning or was returned to you. What are next steps?
Once checked back into our warehouse system, we can reship ($18 reship fee per box), refund (minus the 3% refund fee charged by the credit card processor + plus any shipping already paid), or give store credit for the full order amount immediately. Reply and let us know your preference!
My tracking link says this order was damaged in transit. or I received my shipment and there are broken bottles.
If you had shipping insurance on your order, you are fully covered! We can either send a replacement if available, cancel and refund to your credit card (minus the shipping insurance paid), or cancel and add a store credit to your Last Bottle account for the entire purchase price.
If you opted out of shipping insurance on your order, the only available option is store credit for the entire purchase price. Please reply so we can get those credits issued to you!
Why aren’t you guys sending the paper with all the tasting notes?
In an attempt at being more efficient (and green!), we no longer include the invoice sheet with the tasting notes. You can log into your account, visit your order history, and click the wine name in your past orders to see the full original writeup. (Please note, this is only offered through the website at this time, not through the app).
How do I cancel an order?
Please be sure you have provided the order number(s) and let us know if you would like a refund or store credit. If it still shows a status of Not Shipped or Hold, we can cancel easily. If it has moved forward into any processing stage, we might not be able to stop it from shipping and will need to look at getting the shipment returned before moving forward.
Did I get the last bottle?! or The system wouldn’t let me order the minimum.
If the system isn’t letting you pick the number you want, there’s a chance you are buying the last bottle of that wine. If you do buy the last bottle of a Last Bottle offer, you’ll see a Congratulations! page, and a $50 credit is issued into your account automatically. If you saw the Congratulations page, but did not receive the credit, please let us know. If you did not get a Congratulations page, you did not purchase the last bottle of that offer, but there’s many more chances!
No Cornerstone, Conn Creek, or Luna yet? WTF is going on?!
There was CC a few minutes ago. Sorry…
conn creek is up
Saw it - right on time!
Rose and arrows going quick…
I’m 1/3 so far.
Saw that. Must be good stuff? Never heard of it but bought four bottles just noticing how it was gobbled up…
Me too, 1/3
Pure conjecture here, but could Rose & Arrow be the Elivette of the last marathon? During the last marathon LB sprinkled in Elivette over the first couple of days. It seems they are doing the same with Rose & Arrow. Maybe they will have a “Rose & Arrow day”?
I was fortunate enough to snag 2 different single block Rose & Arrows at $29!
The xmas marathon last year was the same situation with Rose & Arrow. They had a ton of it and it was flying of the shelves. I got about 24 bottles across different vintages and vineyards.
I haven’t had the wine. How is the quality? Does it drink like a $100 Pinot?
Honestly I have only opened one bottle since last year and it was the 2016 Hopewell Hills. I didnt take notes but from memory it was an odd bottle. Almost had a carbonation to it. Could have been bad who knows it was a while ago.
