Probably less about finding heat damage and more about the fruit showing dried or roasted notes and insufficient acidity. Not everyone will have the same preferences or thresholds for those factors, but it’s entirely reasonable not to like a wine if it shows raisin and lacks cut.
So had a mag of Cristom go missing and can either be refunded or a credit added to my account. This is what they have left for Elivette. Any reccomendations?

I have a mag of the 06 and some 750s of the 16 and 13 but do not have any of the others.
'04 and '06 are great and ready to drink in my experience. '13 has proven divisive in the other Elivette thread. In my opinion, it’s just young, structured and sort of austere right now. Haven’t tried the others.
I guess it depends on whether you’re looking for something that will be ready to drink sooner or later. Since you have 13 and 16 already and should hold those, I’d suggest the 04 and 06?
Love (NOT) hearing this since my order of 00 has officially shipped after I requested via email 3xs to hold it w/o any response from LB. Live in the midwest with 20degree temps currently. Not sure wth is going on with LB. Ive never not had a response from them on a first email.
I haven’t yet. I’m going to try another bottle and if that’s no good, I’m going to contact them. I also had an '07 the other night that was completely oxidized and undrinkable, from 375.
Has anyone had success getting in contact with the LB team? They are holding quite a few bottles of mine that I placed on hold during the summer. I reached out before Thanksgiving to have them remove the hold and then followed up last week. Still no response. Maybe understaffed?
I got ahold of them a couple weeks ago, no issue. My last email said they were bogged down with tons of volume, so i’d try following up again if its been a week. I typically got responses in 2-3 days during this time of year.
LastBottle customer service/shipping is less than stellar and I’ll leave it at that. It used to be pretty responsive, no longer at least for the last couple of years. This shipping season seems particularly bad.
My summer hold wines are “awaiting pickup” and have been for a week or two. I’m now worried because here in NC temps have not been favorable and don’t seem to be getting better. Really odd, normally they’re on top of it.
I don’t have the historical perspective of many in this post but my limited experience suggests below average customer service. It takes LB too long to respond to an email. While the “hold” option is great, the benefit is largely diminished when LB chooses to ship in freezing temperatures. The lack of control over when a shipment is received is nuts.
I also have an issue with the “to be published” Decanter reviews which seem to be published so LB can sell their wine. I put little credence in Decanter anymore.
