Last night we went to Shibumi for dinner with Lois and Gary Lewis, who were visiting us from New York. We ordered a bottle of Ichisima Junmai Sake, a fairly dry sake (+8). Then we ordered our starters - one each of the several Kabayaki specials they had that night to share. We had beef, Kurobuta pork, shrimp, bacon-wrapped rice roll, cauliflower, mushroom, and a few others. Those were filling enough that we went straight to bowls of ramen - chicken, vegetable, Kurobuta pork, and spicy Kurobuta pork. All were very tasty with the end of the Ichisima sake. Two hours of lovely eating and we headed for home.
