Paul, would your 93 have been lost in our lineup ? Having done this a few times now my thoughts are that wines with heavy wine making signatures are outstanding tasted on their own but suffer in a lineup of their brothers and sisters.

Possibly, but might have been interesting anyway.

Thier '93’s have always been great, and this wine had more than enough stuffing, structure and fruit to go with it that it did look GC quality.


I am not the biggest Leroy fan as you know, but they do make (and have made) some absolutely stunning wines, just not sure I prefer their more curerent “style” to the more classic older Leroy style…
