I’ve been trading emails with Howard H., and it looks like we can do a wine dinner in the LA area on Thursday, Oct. 1. Theme is red Burgs., with perhaps a white or two to start. We haven’t finalized a restaurant yet, but this doesn’t have to be upper crust either for the wine or the restaurant. Let’s say maximum of 8-10 people…

Sounds great, Bruce - one I wish I could go to, with my very limited Burg experience, but it’s a busy work week for me, and I don’t see me making it up there…dammit.

I just heard from Gregg G., and he’s interested and will see if he can work up a menu for us at Bistro LQ (which I’ve been wanting to try). So that’s eight, and he suggested that 8 is a better number for BLQ than 10. For the moment, then, we’ll say we’re full but I’ll take a waiting list if someone needs to drop out.
