Super interesting. Question for Jeff or anyone else. Any thoughts on the 1970 LMHB?

John… 1970 was not tasted.

Barry… That was an amazing night! Those were the days. This event was held over three days and all the bottles I tasted were from the chateau. The provenance was as good as you are ever going to get. I tasted the same line up of vintages from Haut Brion as well. I’ll finish those notes up over the weekend.

JBiles… I have not had 70 LMHB for years. I was never a big fan of the wine. I’ve posted recent notes on 70 Haut Brion on my site. I think I tasted it twice last year. It’s a soft, light, wine without any excitement that has already started to fade. I expect 70 LMHB would be slight better, as they had the money to spend at that time, and the owners of HB did not.
