I may be able to do this. It’s close to my hood and any chance to eat the best Southern Thai I’ve ever had is always welcomed. I have to see what’s going on but I’ll keep any eye for developments.
Beware-The food is super hot-spicey.
great, I’ll keep you posted
This might work for me… Would be great to meet you!
me too Leah.
let’s say 1pm.

Kenny (charming husband)

Leah
Howard Camhi (maybe)
Aaron T (food friend)
If there’s room and I can decide this evening, I’m interested. I’m going out of town for the weekend, but contemplating a trip to Langer’s for a go-pack of pastrami. If so, I’d be reasonably nearby.
John there is room- 1pm Friday

I unfortunately will not be able to make it due to work that came up…
sorry to miss you Leah.
we’re here and up for thai tomorrow.
i really wish i could make this, but friday lunch just doesn’t work. however, if this really is some of the best thai food in the area perhaps it should be the scene of a future riesling-themed offline! up to what size groups do they accomodate? corkage?
corkage was under 10-15.00
I am only here once a year…come on Brian.
What dishes do you love?
I’m in and have already started talking my taste-buds in off the ledge. Some of the suff there is SPICY!
I doubt they’re much on stems. Suzanne, are you bringing some. I planned on bringing a couple, but could bring a box of six if need be.
if you could bring stems for us that would be great.
It’s enough I travel for a weekend with 9 bottles of wine my husband would think me even crazier if I packed stems.
Sure, I’ll bring a box of six.
Couple of things on Jitlada. The service can be very slow, though I’ve only been twice for dinner. I also think they might be a cash only place, at least many of the thai spots are. Also, mild there is spicy elsewhere.
Suzanne, I really really wish I could make it, but I’m actually cutting work early today b/c I’m heading up to San Fran this afternoon to celebrate my great aunt’s 90th birthday tomorrow!!
as far as Thai goes … I like just about anything spicy!! I don’t eat it often enough to have “favorites”, per se … I just read the menu, look for something with beef or brocolli or shrimp/prawns and go to town! LOS is by far the #1 attraction in Vegas, for me. hopefully I will be able to catch you on your next visit to lala land. ![]()
I’m sorry for the late notice, but it looks like I’m stuck at home with a work crew. Bummed I can’t make it. Don’t bother ordering. Let Jazz bring you food. Make sure she brings the mussels. If you have to order, go to the end of the menu and order from the Southern section-it’s what they specialize in.
So how was it?
somethings great…
steamed green mussels
morning glory salad with shrimp
whole fish( either snapper or sea bass not sure which one) fried with fresh tumeric

some just OK
dry beef curry
sugar brown chicken- fried chicken in yellow curry with grren beans
corkage was $8.00 per bottle stems are poor.
thanks for bring them for us John.
