I loved the 07s… went through a case way too quickly and only have a mag of the Kanzler left.
The “2010 Letter” is on his site, he said he only made one wine in 2008 due to the bad weather and production is way low. Bottling of the 2008 is Feb 1.
I know the ‘no soup for you’ postcard went out, but I have not received my offer yet. He lost my email last year, I got mine late. I figured I would not see anything until after 2/1, but if someone received an actual offer please post about it.

Even though I just backed up the truck for Rhys I’m in for a few of these since I’m happy to support Jamie and really like the style direction he is taking.
I find it interesting that he honestly speaks of the hardships of the 08 vintage while many others are just saying ‘tasty as usual’…
I think 08 was definitely a challenging year but it was also a very variable year depending on where you were. I agree it speaks very highly of Jamie to speak honestly about the challenges, but I also think that there will be some very good wines out there.
He mailed the offers on Monday and will be doing the email follow up sometime toward the end of next week. Still waiting for my offer to arrive, but that is typical when I live in FL.
I like what Jamie is doing and am delighted to support this mailer.
My resolve to cut back in '10 has been pitifully inadequate todate (I already have 87 pending wines and this will add six more). Oh well!
No letter today, I am going to sit tight for a week. I got an email on Feb 2nd last year.

Jamie posted over on ePantload. Apparently, everybody gets a 6 bottle allocation, and there are no mags this year.

It will be interesting to hear if this is truly a “tough” vintage or if it’s a “tough” vintage plus Jaime changing gears a little with his Pinot. I saw the piece where he picked up Savoy, maybe he has dropped others? This is a HUGE drop in production and with his sources can’t see this being all a declassified situation.
