I was told that Krug ages in 750 then mags are put together at a later date in larger bottles when disgorged. I don’t know if that’s incorrect info or not.
incorrect, fortunately. i believe there is a rule that says anything below jero must be sold in the same bottle in which 2ndary fermentation occurs. seems at krug, all wines are matured in format.

I remember, and I take full credit - whether warranted or not - on him stating his hypothesis by gathering information from me based on my years of drinking Champagne in multiple formats!!
you only drink champagne in two formats; big, and bigger. i just recently had my last magnum of 93 ruinart that i got at that sale and it was so damn good.
