Yes Claude, the golden october saved the vintage 2010. We have since 2 weeks sunny days or “Indian Summer”. Such beautiful!

I’m glad (and surprised) to see the relative lack of Botrytis at this stage after the rain that August brought. The Hubacker clay must really be keeping the faule at bay (who says that Keller doesn’t have REAL GG vineyards?!) as there doesn’t seem to be a lot of negative selection with all of those bunches yet hanging. Do you know if that is Mariafelder clone Spätburgunder? The loose trauben look similiar, but Keller seems to get better depth of flavor than mf typically brings.

I don´t whether is a Mariafelder clone?! Concerning the lack of botrytis, I think Klaus Peter had some luck this year BUT most importantly it related to his hard work in the vineyards. I think Klaus Peter Keller is among the german winemakers who spent most of the time in the vineyards from all. He knows every single grape in his vineyards!
