Berserkers,
An article in the Vancouver Sun on keg wine making it up here to Canada. There are two important points I would like to summarize that are of interest:
-
This is the first article I’ve personally read that properly explained the wine keg system to me. Like a professional wine preserving system, the kegs have inert gas technology that preserves the wine.
-
The article also explains that the best wine to sell out of the system is a good medium-level quality wine. For example, a Prosecco instead of champagne. It also makes clear that you can keg sparkling wines without any issue.
Obviously this is not something that a home consumer or collector can use, but it’s definitely worthwhile for restaurants and venues.
