I’ve gotten wine from various sources that had Premier Cru stickers on it. I think I still have a few bottles.
And if you think about it, the current owner could very well have hand delivered the bottles and Wine Bid is a professional organization. People getting paid to sell (and temporarily store) wine are wine professionals. K&L didn’t lie - they just omitted the entire truth.
I wouldn’t have an issue with a retailer/wine shop sticker on it. That could still be very well one owner that is auctioning off some inventory. My issue was that the wine I bought had been previously bought at a Wine Bid auction, so I wished K&L would have disclosed that information as that changes the game for me as the buyer.
Like you said though, they didn’t lie about the provenance…just neglected to mention that the wine had been acquired from WineBid.
