At Gioia Mia?? Really? Where did they seat you? We just went again a couple months ago and it was excellent, and our table was all new seating and table clothes and such.
Most new places are opening with licenses. It’s sad.

Yep. It was also a few months back. Sat in one of the “half-booths” on the left as you walk in.
Agree with the licenses.
Jessica’s cafe has moved to Fanwood and is now called Jessica’s restaurant
Hi Michael - I wouldn’t give up on Gioia Mia. I had a mediocre meal there once but three other times it was fabulous.
The old location is a now a Mexican restaurant. Looking to try it out soon.
Ok, thanks Mark. I’ll give it another go.

Dined with friends at Chef Fredy’s Table in Morristown the other night. Highly recommend - food and service were excellent. Street parking or park at the Hyatt Regency Plaza across the street.
Main courses clockwise - Paella, filet mignon, lamb osso buco, and short ribs.
What is Fredy’s corkage policy?
Btw, I finally tried Common Lot after all these years and enjoyed it immensely
Surprise dish of the night was the cabbage and mushrooms
Zero - it is byo. Stems are ok (like Silver Oak tasting glasses).
Been once, The same food as Jessica’s Cafe served in a larger and nicer restaurant. My NJ wine group is doing our next dinner there.
I’m not sure about the Mexican restaurant called Amuzgo. Menu was limited. Some dishes were better than others. Maybe I’ll try again now that they’ve been open a while.
I wish you could have tried it pre-covid or just after they reopened after covid.
They updated the menu for Amuzago. Looks more user friendly now.
Is Common Lot still a tasting menu or has it gone back to ala carte?
I truly don’t get the love for Jessica’s. It strikes me as a quantity over quality place.
Wednesday/Thursday- A la Carte
Friday/Saturday- Price Fixe
It needs to go back to the menu from 2016-2017.
And ala carte on weekends.
That too.
Really?
What have you been ordering?
I’ve only been there twice…got a pork chop both times that was good.
Every single entree comes over the same sides. Huge portions (not a bad thing) plated in the Thanksgiving dinner style manner.
I seem to be an outlier on this one.
