While still preview day, it’s Berserkers’ day - I’m trying to overfill the basement while juggling calls and meetings. I’m lucky I’m getting my cc number typed in correctly! I think I first bought from JBN based on what you wrote, many thanks
No worries! Btw, I opened a couple of the main attractions this evening. Will post notes from Jackson, the black cat, later on.

Hi Bryce! I love it, I’m excited for you to try. Thank you so much! -Brooke
In honor of Berserker Day we opened the two bottles featured on Preview Day with our dinner last night.
2021 JB Neufeld Ciel du Cheval Cabernet Sauvignon - Nose is classic cassis, cocoa dust, cherry, leather. Palate is medium light weight, precision, flavor profile is lush cherry, yet weightless, how’d they do that. Graphite, dark chocolate, Red Mountain dirt. Tannins are subtle but add structure. Fabulous showing for a Cab this young. Justin apparently has this dialed in! - 94 points
2023 JB Neufeld Cecilia - Nose explodes as it warms up a bit above cellar temp. Aroma is red apple, honeydew, meringue, hint of allspice. Attack is medium body, medium acid. Flavor of fuji apple, key lime, creamy finish with citrus pith. Paired w truffle mac and cheese which is pretty perfect. - 92 points
Notes posted on CellarTracker.
One thing I will add is that Justin and Brooke started their brand laser focused on Yakima Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, and most people forget/don’t know that Red Mountain is part of Yakima Valley AVA. And Justin has worked with fruit from CdC or Artz (next door) since at least 2008, when JBN started. He truly does understand the Red Mountain terroir, along with Red Willow and Two Blondes, he sources from the signature vineyards in Yakima.
Can you please give a bit more info re the Cecilia? Which grape, vineyards and percentages? Thanks in advance.
