James Suckling's top 100 for 2015

Brilliant Greg…you de man! champagne.gif

Suckling gives me hope that if I spew a bunch of nonsense and just spend marketing dollars, I can become/make a living rating wines. This guy’s palate is horrific (not in line with mine) and his ratings are inflated by 10 points and rates cliff wines in the 90s. This whole 0-100 scale does not work for me as it us applied. There are too many wines that are marginal rated in the 90s and 80s. Also, these guys taste so many wines, that their palate is not fresh enough to really taste wines and give reasonable notes. Plus it’s all so subjective.

Also needs a vintage for the Billecart Salmon cuvee Nicolas Francois.

Sure, just don’t ask someone to look for you and give a report. pepsi

#24?

Why would the 10 monfortino be listed when its not released yet ?

90% of that list is unfamiliar/untasted (any vintage/ever) to me.

Interesting that he put L’If on his top names. That’s a “new” St Emilion that even BDX enthusiasts are unlikely to have seen/tried.

Does this guy have any market moving power any more?
