It's The Weekend...What Is Everyone's Plan For Drinking?

The Cr/Chr/Kris(s) trio will be there to enjoy the Christoffel. How fitting. That won’t suck.

Tonight:
1997 Giuseppe Cortese Barbaresco Rabaja

I think tonight will be lots of Sake and Champagne with Sushi, Saxon and the crew in Tacoma.

going to a northern rhone tasting manana should be pretty pretty pretty good…

Thanks Larry David!

I have absolutely no clue what I’m drinking this weekend.

'50 Le Gay from maggie?

Tonight, 2001 Lopez de Heredia Vina Tondonia. Tomorrow, will be tasting at Jaffurs (Santa Barbara) and Stolpman (Los Olivos).

Lots [bye.gif]

will be curious to see what you think of this … I just cracked one a week or two ago.

Please post your thoughts. I love Craig’s (and Marcy/Ed) wine!

I just picked up the 07 Mas Des Dames at Costco and I will be trying that out to see if I should load up.

Is Lot aware you’ll be drinking his stash?

If you wind up drinking beer, just bring limes. Lot has plenty of salt.

He heh. Fixed it. Looks like I may have had too much of “lot’s” already.

Last night we had:

Charvin Rose 2008
Shaya Verdejo 2008
Marcassin Pinot Noir Blue Slide Ridge 2002
Lewelling Cabernet Wight Vineyard 2002
Quilceda Creek Cabernet 1996
Ridge Monte Bello 1995

Tonight we might really drink something . . . [neener.gif]

Trying to buy a car through this ‘Cash for Clunkers’ program. If I make it happen, I will be drinking heavily. Brown liquor, handle of vodka under plastic screw cap, mouthwash.

I will be downing some of these over breakfast:

Nothing on friday.

Saturday

2000 Dom Perignon
NV Selosse Initial
1989 DRC Grands Echezeaux
1988 Gaja Sori San Lorenzo
1990 Lafite
1957 Huet Le Haut Lieu Demi-Sec - 1/2 btl
2000 Chapoutier Ermitage L’Ermite
1989 Ch. d’Yquem

unsure about Sunday…but Monday should be a long list…as will Wednesday.

Weird, I drank that same exact lineup last night!

We drank a few things last night…

2005 Copain Harrison Clarke Syrah–I was not thrilled with the wine, seemed ok.

2006 Cambria Julia’s Pinot Noir–pretty good, given the price. Liked it.

Tonight, having some salmon with a savory element so I think a Kosta Browne will pair well with it.

Strange.

Opened an 05 Mordoree RDN CDP. Such as waste! This wine is at least 3-5 years away from being ready to drink. Dark opaque purple, broodingly tannic, and very reticent on the nose. I’ll probably follow it over next 4-5 hours, and probably leave a glass for tomorrow.
