It's The Weekend...What Is Everyone Drinking?

No real plans as of yet for tonight or Saturday. Sunday, we have T-Bone in town and I am sure the evening will devolve into shots of Tequila quickly.

I liked your Mo Green avatar better…who’s this guy?

That was Bowden back when he had hair on his head.

I’m away at a wedding in western Mass this weekend, so probably crappy wine or semi-decent hard liquor for me.

Read my sig line.

Don’t forget your Boberto wines. We have no definite plans yet, but we will have an '01 Sandro Fay Sassella, probably on Saturday, and perhaps work in Prosecco mimosas on Sunday morning.

No idea…maybe we’ll open an interesting Italian white wine.

We will not be opening any “meat-sicles” as Boberto would call them.

I was invited to a 6pm-onward riesling tasting this evening hosted by a German wine importer, but, for some reason, it totally slipped my mind. I remembered about it when I was back home, halfway through my dinner of US rib-eye steak teppanyaki, young bean sprouts and Japanese fried rice (no wine or sake tonight). I just SMSed my apologies.

Saturday’s dinner is Chinese cuisine, so I’ll probably bring some German riesling, or Alsace pinot gris along for the Peking duck. Either that or some nice, dry bubbly…or whatever else strikes my fancy tomorrow.

Sunday lunch is going to be held at home with my and my wife’s family. Local/Asian dishes of crispy beef ribs, spring rolls stuffed with Chinese vermicelli and crab meat, etc. Since it’s lunch, likely I’ll open some rosés and maybe some Riojas which, I find, go well with many local dishes.

For those curious about some of our local dishes, you may click on this.

It seems i’m going to the Patty Green wine dinner at Serafina Osteria here in Seattle on Sunday. No idea what i’m eating or drinking, but i’m guessing at least a few Willamette Valley Pinots are in my future…

Rieslings tonight, dunno about the weekend, but Monday it’s Musigny, Chave, '52 CVNE, not sure what else. Yum!

Had the runs all week. Been drinking a lot of black cherry Maalox. Like Mollydooker with carnation evaporated milk. Awesome. More of the same for me.
Hey P.Rob I thought for a second that your avatar was you playing Galaga.
