Its Saturday what is everyone drinking tonight?

2007 Domaine Beau Mistral Cotes Du Rhone Viellilles Vignes as I sat through a painful Kansas showing against Oklahoma.

Wow, all by yourself? [welldone.gif]

About to head to The Bristol to meet Manlin and KA. I’ve got a bunch of Bordeaux and a mystery '82 . . .

Reports later . . .

2004 Baumard Clos de Sainte Catherine, Coteaux du Layon. Yummy!

Not sure what’s in store for later tonight, but tomorrow night I’m having some Berserkers (Mike Mikowicz and SO Jessica) over to watch football and try some 2006 Cabot One Barrel and 2007 Copain Baker Ranch Syrah. We’ll probably do them single blind with a few other wines, just for kicks.

Ditto on the 06 Chapp Mtn Cuvee, lovely wine for the price and not heavy on oak/tannin/etc.

Last glass of '07 Tensley Thompson (very nice).

Opened an '04 LAN Culmen and giving it a bit of air. Probably too early, but want to get a reference point. Had a '95 Culmen earlier this year that was superb.

Cheers! [cheers.gif]

Steve

Because of the time difference, Saturday dinner was last night (it’s 8:35am, Sunday, the 25th October as I write). Dinner was with my wife, 3 sons and a nephew at Je Suis Gourmand, my favorite French restaurant here.

With various starters, but especially for the moules de bouchot in the traditional style - 2007 Laxas Albariño from Rías Baixas. I also had some other whites from Austria (grüner veltliner from Wachau) and Alsace (a sylvaner) with the other appetizers.

With my rare rib-eye steak with frites - 2001 Ambroise Corton Grand Cru “Le Rouget”.

2007 Les Obriers de la Piera

Let us know how it is! I bought some but can’t remember where I put them!

2003 Melville Inox Clone 76 Chard
2006 Copain Harrison-Clarke Syrah
2006 Benovia Cohn Pinot Noir
2004 Carlisle Carlisle Zin

HA–I just pulled the cork on my last 2004! I am curious to see if any heat bubbles out of the wine. Fruit wise, the wine is killer.

Scott Paul 06 paulee. Delicious.

2006 Shane Syrah Valenti Ranch and pan seared dry-aged Rib Eyes with green peppercorn cream sauce and Spanish paprika potatoes. Divine.

Started with an '05 Melville Clone 828 PN, which Dana declared as her WOTN, so I pulled an '07 Carlisle Montofi Zin to keep her at bay. We will also finish a '95 Chateau Souverain Cab, which was drinking surprisingly well last night.
Cheers to all, and have a great night. [cheers.gif]

Not a damn thing. I’m sitting on my couch with the flu. Today is the 4th day. This sucks. I’m even missing an offline tonight…that I organized!
