'05 Saxum “Booker”

I think I am going to open a half of my stash of 98 Beau, a half of our 96 Clos Jebsel TPG, a bottle of the 96 du Tertre – which has been ludicrously good in the recent spate of time I have had it … tobacco and nicely folded in now but, all that will preceeded by this, DUFOULEUR PÈRE & FILS CRÉMANT DE BOURGOGNE BRUT 2005, Product # 47241, $ 21.95. That cremant has been excellent every time out. I think we have gone through 2 cases this year. That should have the outlaws pretty much silent by the time the hockey game starts though home would be better. [basic-smile.gif] OOPS that line up is for tomorrow.

2006 Maume Bourgogne.

2007 Le Clos Jordanne ‘Claystone Terrace Vineyard’ Pinot. Quite impressive juice that needs time.

After yesterdays carnage - water. pileon

Mark,
All things in moderation … including moderation!

I may pick some of that up this weekend … now that it is Bereskin approved, its a must.

Friday night was last night for me - the inaugural dinner of the Commanderie de Bordeaux Manila of which I am one of the founding members. Wines were Billecarte Salmon Champagne Brut NV, 2007 Carbonnieux Blanc, 2004 Pichon Lalande, 2000 Siran, 1996 Lynch Bages, 1988 Mouton Rothschild and 2006 Doisy Daëne. All wines flowed like water. It was a good night.

After the onslaught, and 280 miles of driving, an '08 Rochioli SB with marinated baby octopus and an '05 Arcadian Clos Pepe with simply prepared king salmon brought me right back to where I started from. Yum. Guests this weekend, the cellar will be raided.

in a syrah mood, but don’t want anything too big, so an 06 Darnaud Crozes Hermitage looks to be the ticket

It’s now Saturday morning here too:

00 de Montille Puligny-Montrachet Les Cailleret
82 Lynch Bages
78 Latour

While I wasnt at a formal dinner, I had these with the person who turned me on to fine wine (specifically Lynch Bages and Beaulieu Cellars P. Reserve), my dad. We are here at my Vermont place. Last night I handled him a glass blind of Lynch Bages 82 and he guess Lynch (although not the vintage) right away.

82 Lynch was spectacular.

Fabrice Gasnier “Cravantine – Methode Traditionelle” (Cabernet Franc) ROSE, Loire Valley, France NV - at 12%, I drank almost a whole btl myself neener

Anejo tequila. Ugh.
