Tonight will be very simple… a salad, some humboldt fog, and a good baguette. Tomorrow we’ll return to our quest for the ultimate at-home hamburger with some painted hills sirloin… and if I can find some today, goose fat!

This afternoon guanciale, pepper, and eggplant sauce on pasta.

Sunday a Casa del Vino tasting of Morey St. Denis with some food.

Tomorrow: inaugurating the new grill with burgers and dawgs most probably.
Sunday: Doing an early 5 de Mayo at friends, so Mejican it shall be.

As many Hood Canal Spot Prawns, oysters, and clams I can stuff my face with. I think there will be some wine as well.

Hmmm, buy some good confit d’oie, eat it and save some of the fat for other stuff. Voila. Saves a lot of effort. I buy mine from a friend here, a French brand, the name of which escapes me right now (it’s 1:27 am as I write under medication so I’ll likely stumble down the stairs if I try to go down to check) so you should easily be able to get some in the US. One can find pretty much anything one wants in the US…
