Nice findings in the poll, would be great to do this on an even larger scale (500 votes is a great start!).
I fell in love with Italian wines on my first trip to Italy (1995). I’ll admit I was clueless about wines in general, but those were my formative years (in my 30’s) and I found I gravitated toward the fresh, simpler styles that paired so well with Italian food.
To this day I’ll take a good Italian bottle over any new world wine for daily drinking and special events.
