Israel Help

Thanks Jonathan. I will be delighted to meet you. I will keep you posted about my Israel plans.

Our son has reached the end of his studies in Haifa. We have had three return flights cancelled. He’s now planning on traveling to Sharm-Al-Sheikh next week to pick up Egypt Air flights to the US.

Kind of like a reverse Exodus

Thanks, Tom. He’s now in Eilat, crossing the border in the morning, then a three hour drive and three flights to get home Wednesday afternoon. An Israeli friend posted this today and I can see my son in her eyes

Any recs for unique dinners in Jerusalem? We will have an extra night at the end of our group trip and I assume by then we might want something different from Israeli/Med food.

We went on a food tour of Israel based on this movie In Search of Israeli Cuisine (2016) - IMDb several years ago (a bit before Covid). [Watch the movie before you go.] Our favorite restaurant was Jerusalem | Machneyuda | ירושלים

The best food in Israel is surprisingly enough Israeli/Med food. Would be happy to help you find something else, what do you have in mind - give me a direction. Take into account that relative to Tel Aviv, Jerusalem has very little to offer outside Israeli/Med.

Not suprising at all ha!

We will have been in Israel for 10 days and have one extra night after our group trip is done.
Machneyehuda looks pretty solid, we will be eating Kosher during the group trip so will be a bit different I guess.

If you are planning on Machneyehuda, you should book now. It gets rammed.
