My wife and I will be visiting Champagne next week and would love to find a couple of bistros or similar restaurants with great (and hopefully reasonably priced) wine lists heavy with Champagne. I’ve heard that Les Crayeres (Le Parc) has an amazing Champagne list, but we’re looking for something a little less pricey and formal on the food side–we’re saving the blowout dinners for Paris and London.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
L’Assiette also has a very good (up until a couple of years ago it was a great) champagne list but their main dining room is also on the formal side. However, they do have a more casual salon which might work for you.
Les Crayeres now has a bistro style restuarant open called Le Jardin Brasserie that is not as expensive and is a good choice for a lunch. I’m not sure if all of the Champagne list is available at Le Jardin Brasserie, but this may be your ticket. I also really like Le Millenaire in Reims and have found the food good and the prices reasonable.
