07 Maybach is about to poke its head around the corner any minute now

Shamefully, I actually bought a lot of wine this year. 07 was a strong vintage in CA and prices tended to be soft. I did stick to my vow of not purchasing any wine that actually raised prices.

I’ll be in on the 07 Maybach, which I tasted at the last Berserkerfest in Napa.

As for the rest of you mailers … give me a break!

I guess I am really out of the California ‘know’, as I have never heard of Maybach before. May I inquire as to what this is?

I’m not scared about mailer season - I’m scared about shipment season!

I’ve been bombarded by shipments I had on hold over the summer, and have SO MUCH more coming…ugh. No place to put it.

I will probably get either a small unit for the garage (for whites) or get a locker somewhere.

Or, have another offline at my house where more than 9 bottles from my cellar are opened! That always works, too!

This is absolutely my problem. I just got a shipment of Lagier-Meredith 07 syrah this morning. The first shot across the bow. There is so much more on the way.

'07 is going to be dangerous for my pocketbooks. Maybach and KL are definately a max allocation purchase, but the rest will be a wait and see.

Any word on whether TRB will be raising prices on Maybach?

IIRC, the Maybach 06 was offered in March - wasn’t planning on seeing the 07 offer until this spring, but I could be wrong.
I’m still waiting on a few - McPrice, Alban Loraine, Hundred Acre Ark. I think Copain still has another offer this year too.

January is pretty stacked for me too.

I thought McPrice was an autoshipment, not an allocation system.

I show that i purchased in March also, which is a good thing as I would have to pass if offered now.

I also show that I purchased Copain at the end of January the past 2 years.

i could’ve sworn that 07 maybach is due next spring.

i emailed lewelling in sept and they said to expect the offer that month, but still nothing. hopefully any day now.

the sandler offer is one of my favorite things about turkey day! …well i have many favorite things that day.

Crap, that’s right! October is typically when Lewelling comes around, and there’s NO WAY I can skip that!
