Is anyone tired of this group yet? Seems like they’re kinda played out now. Time to drink wines with actual flavor in my opinion. Oldies like KB and Paul Hobbs still crushing it, and new favs Masut and Kokumi are bringing it.
Don’t care about the group as an organization. Love many of the wines though. There is plenty of flavor if you don’t crave Smuckers Jam spiked with tequilla.
Curious first post ever. Especially since there have been many comments on them here and elsewhere.
Whatever I think of IPOB, I don’t think I’ll play.
Agree on the weird first post. Depends on what kind of flavors you like. What flavors do you like in your pinot: cola or pomegranate…
.
Komumi’s own website mentions balance, interestingly.
Personally, I like some of the wines from the wineries in the IPOB organization. As to if the organization itself is needed or not, that is another question entirely. Opinions are like a$$holes, and I have one and I am not a fan oh the “syrah style” pinots. (JMHO).
I don’t get this general discussion in the wine community. Taste is subjective – why argue about it? You drink what you want to drink; I’ll drink what I want to drink. I don’t like certain critics’/writers’ palates, so I largely ignore them or filter what they say. What is so difficult about that?
I suppose I have to say I am not tired of the organization because I have never heard of it before. IPOB? Intelligent Prostitutes Of Bratislava? International Bastards Ogling Britney? Indolent Peshmergas Operating Bongs?
I need an up to date cultural dictionary.

In Pursuit of Balance, Neal. Even the latest Food & Wine Magazine had an article about them this past month, and it was entitled “Wine’s Nastiest Feud.”
There was also an interesting article about a chef named Ludo, who apparently is “famous” in L.A. for his “LudoBites.” Included in that article is a series of photos and some information about Ludo’s new wine venture in Burgundy, which calls itself “Maison Ludo.” Apparently a new wine he is making with Ray Walker, with the first release anticipated in 2015.
I read the magazine cover to cover while on a coast to coast flight.
Ah, I can always count on you to be au courant, Merrill. Thank you.
Now, 2 posts later, yes I am tired of them.
Happy to be of service, Counselor.

I guess with a first post like that you should be prepared for Newton’s 3rd Law.
Nice “push” Noah
OP is fake.

…and delivery in 2017.
Seems like humans have to make divisions just so they can take sides. Low alcohol, high acid wines get some press in the PNW, but sectarianism has not set in.
P Hickner
no need to break down what you like. just pursue good pinot.
Apparently Solomon Bench=troll
LOL… Solomon - aren’t you missing a hashtag or something else to self validate your Social Media Manager title?
