I really liked this interview with Jancis, and thought David did a great job steering the conversation in some unusual directions. Definitely worth the read…

Thanks for posting. Interesting piece. I think she is way off base on Virginia and RdV.
Really nicely done. Jancis is so warm, charming and knowledgeable.
David came by for the weekly Domaine DC get together yesterday, and talked about this interview. I’m sure he’ll post in the thread on this, so I’m not going to take words out of his mouth, but he really reinforced this point yesterday.
Thanks for posting. I read (and enjoyed) the interview. I was curious to hear Jancis speak as I’d never seen a recording of her and I came across this visit of hers to Wine Library TV: A Wine Tasting with Jancis Robinson - Episode #568 - YouTube.
Really excellent. I never watched a lot of Gary Vaynerchuk–it’s not for his want of knowledge… I just tend to go a little more subdued. Their dynamic was hilarious though (especially Robinson’s reactions to Gary V) and she shared some excellent thoughts on a real range of subjects.
A bit dated, I know, but I just wanted to post in case anyone missed it like I did.
Thanks, Tooch, for posting the link.
Not much to add beyond Eric’s point – Jancis is awesome. “Warm, charming and knowledgeable,” to be sure, and also incredibly personable. We only spent about 45 minutes chatting (the formal interview lasted just 27 minutes), but by the end, I felt like we were old friends.
Quite an honor to chat with such a legend.
