James is terrific, one of my favorite reviewers anywhere, certainly the favorite at that pub. That said, what he uses to track his own personal cellar has no bearing on any discussions that might or might not have happened with the larger publication. It really is an independent decision. I love the unofficial tasting notes though.

Since, for very valid reasons, many people do not post, on this or any board, with their real name, I’m surprised that he started out with his real name to start with! Perhaps an innocent but fairly naive move by him.
Perhaps, after a breather, he will reappear under a moniker. But if he does, I doubt it will be done via the company computer!
