Information on 1986 DRC RSV

Does anyone have a recent note?
I have heard this one might have some spoilage problems.
Rot year?
Anyway, any information is appreciated.

Cannot comment on the RSV, but I have drunk the '86 DRC Richebourg twice in 2010. On both occasions the wine was rich and concentrated, with some tannins showing at the end. Both needed several hours in a decanter before blossoming.

Thanks!
Don

It´s been a while (2 years, almost perfect bottle), but

  • fully mature
  • slightly herbal due to vintage, stems slightly noticable, no rot detectable
  • nevertheless interesting, long and persistent, nice balance
  • outstanding wine, but lacking a bit mid-palate and sweetness for great … from memory some 91-92 points worth

(sure depending on condition)

Thank you Gerhard.

I looked back in my pictures and the last time I had an '86 DRC was 2006. Not very helpful for current data, I know.
