San Pellegrino on ice with a lime wedge. It’s an indulgence because I could easily just have regular filtered water with lime, but I love the very subtle epervesence and slight minerality of SP. Plus it’s wasteful because of all the glass bottles that we go through - in addition to wine bottles. Lauren and I could easily go through two 750 ml bottles a night if we didn’t limit ourselves…

This is my secret addiction. I awaken in the middle of the night dreaming about it and find myself crawling out of bed to go down stairs and indulge.

Try putting a couple of strong dashes of Peychaud’s Bitters in your sparkling water for a change of pace. I’m addicted to that stuff and even put it on my eggs!

Where to begin…

same day, opening day, caught copper river salmon, duck, Flannery, lobster tails on the grill, anything at Dick & Carollee’s, truffled cheeses, TJ’s sundried tomato pesto, Bern’s Steakhouse, Leon de Lyon, French winter truffles, travelling the world (did it need to be a food indulgence?), holding hands (not as much fun by myself but a lost art I think), mojitos in the caribbean, cognac, Anguillan rums,200 year old balsamic vinegar …

Oh, and Westerhall Rum…like pure butterscotch!

No offense Mike, but why would you put ice in San Pellegrino? Why not just chill the bottle? I only ask because it is my favorite water and a real treat for me!

I like it on ice - part of the sensation I guess… no other real rhyme or reason. Our ice maker uses filtered water, so I don’t feel like the ice detracts with unwanted flavor additions.
