Not sure about your timing. Post-2016 they are much purer and more transparent than the 2000-2015 era. They have never gone to real extremes, but the wines today are the most “Conseillante” they’ve been for a long time. Which is something one could say about quite a few properties in Bordeaux. Laporte ultimately made wines of his era; Rolland’s influence you feel in the early 2010s; and from 2016 onwards you have the Marielle-Thomas Duclos era with more refined extraction and better wood integration.

I had the 2012 La Conseillante at lunch the other day and this particular bottle was either too young or not but neither my companion nor I rushed to finish it. It’s pretty heavy right now. I have another bottle I’ll try in a few years.
