You know, maybe this is the correct type of restaurant for a tasting of this type. You want to showcase a bunch of wonderful Bordeaux. Steaks are a classic pairing with Bordeaux. Do something good, fitting and maybe a bit less complicated and showcase the wines. Glad it seemed to work.
Yeah I like mastros for this kind of dinner; we did a similar one in Vegas in 2019.
Most of the time my group does dinners at our homes, often bring in a cook, as we enjoy the relaxed setting and the ability to control completely the service of our wines. Our Wednesday night dinner was just a bit impromptu, and mid week we wanted to keep it simple. Ruth Chris did a very fine job overall
