Now might be the best time to buy them. I’m seeing them come up at prices in the $900 range, which is as close to the early release prices. I saw them selling for $1,200 in a lot of places about 6-9 months ago.
Just don’t drink them yet! We had one courtesy of a friend yesterday and it’s painfully young right now.
I don’t think the 750’s are ready yet based on the two bottles I’ve opened in 2019 & 2023.
750s are not ready unless you open several hours in advance and even then it’s tight. I think they’ve shut down even more this past year as they were better last year and a couple of years ago.
What’s a good price for 08 Cristal mag? My local total wine has one bottle for each store at $850 including taxes and idk if that’s reasonable.
Wine Searcher Pro is your friend. The rest is between you and your wallet.
It’s not bad pricing; just keep in mind this won’t be ready for decades.
$710 before buyer’s premium on WineBid right now.
That’s $20 cheaper than what I saw at Total Wine after premium
- shipping.
There’s a few total wine selling it for 749 in socal/oc/ie
For me in CA, Winebid premiums, handling, tax and shipping is about plus 30% so we’re talking about $925 all in.
Always a fair point, though tax is everywhere :).
except the NOMAD states
If you can afford them…they might be worth the “investment” now.
Definitely worth stocking up on; I have a few cases of the mags but I have so many 750s that I don’t really want to buy a lot more magnums; I think the 08 Cristal in 750 has a good 20+ year runway, I have enough for several lifetimes.
Well that’s a relief!
