If I had to limit my buying to 10 producers ....

Hey…can’t wait! flirtysmile

Maison Ilan
Drouhin
Fourrier
Bertheau
Mugneret-Gibourg
Willi Schaefer
Donnhoff
Egon Muller
Jospeh Swan
Clos Saron

A few that were hard to leave off

For Sauternes: Chateau Rieussec
For icewines: Caroline Cellars
For Aussie Stickies: Yalumba
For another Aussie Stickie: DeBortoli
For TBAs: Kracher
For Port: Dow’s
For another Port: Graham’s
For fruit wines: Sunnybrook Farms
For German/Austrian Rieslings: Gunderloch
For Reciotos: Colaneri

Holy crap, this was a tough question.

It doesn’t say every year.

Interesting question. Off the top of my head it would be

Jadot
Dujac
Bize
d’Angerville
Huet
JJ Prum
Pepiere
Rhys
Dauvissat
Foillard

Well unlss there is a major reduction in Bordeaux pricing I am out there.

Prum
Muller
Schaefer
Zilliken
Lilbert
Peters
Krug
Raveneau
Coche
Roumier

The last three would only be in restaurants.

I’ll play:

Krug
Doennhoff
JJ Pruem
Mugnier
Roumier
Meo-Camuzet
DRC
Gaja
Cheval Blanc
d’Yquem

LVMH must love me…

Egly Ouriet
Latour
Pichon Baron
La Mission Haut Brion
Ponsot
Dujac
Giacosa
Vieux Telegraphe
Taylor
Yquem

Krug
Dauvissat
Raveneau
Rousseau
Mugnier
d’Angerville
G Conterno
Giacosa
Guigal
Chave

As a real reflection of what I try to buy now with as much regularity as I can afford:

Raveneau
Cedric Bouchard
François Chidaine
Fritz Haag
Ghislaine Barthod
Bruno Clavelier
Marquis d’Angerville
Mugneret-Gibourg
Felsina
Lisini

Is this a wish list where I can just order from a desert island or are we budgeting? It would be an interesting exercise to see where budgets would go with a set dollar amount. And I think if producers knew consumers were Really thinking like this they may hesitate a bit more when they raise prices, because instead of drinking less wine we might have to drink less producers.

Due to price increases this year I had to cut back to 9 producers in my portfolio…then who gets cut?

That said, if only by original post requirements…

Ridge (covers quite a bit CA)
SQN
Chave
Krug
Huet
Vilmart
Chapoutier
Penfolds (imagine the coverage for AU)

Yquem
and D’Oliveira in hopes of a Library release

I am assuming this is within some sort of budget. Hmm, I just reviewed the list and I have visited all but two. Funny how much effect that has. This current group isn’t quite diverse enough, will think on it.

Carlisle
Bedrock
Rhys
Navarro (need some reasonably priced and diverse whites!)
Mugnier
Maison Ilan
Giacosa
R. Voerzio
Vietti
Clos St. Jean (CdP)

Very tempted to copy Kim and take Jadot for variety. Or maybe Faiveley? Anyway, this list isn’t right yet. I think I’d have to add a German white, Keller maybe? And probably Leflaive, sigh. If I could get Coche at release price, I’d go for that. I suppose I could drop a Piedmont and a Cali, but I won’t say which.

also no particular order

Raveneau
Dujac
Grivot
Janasse
Barroche
Schrader
Continuum
Carlisle
Saxum
Copain

If the post is based on wines that I actually buy (and have over the years) and can afford to purchase in quantity, as opposed to a wish list, here it is:

Ridge
Joguet
Domaine Baumard
Vieux Telegraphe
Montrose
Leoville Barton (or Poyferre)
Ch. Saint Pierre
Ch. Saint Cosme
Merry Edwards Sav. Blanc
Gotta add a Sauterne, but my thinking cap expired

Would love to toss in a Pomerol, but alas, the price for these wines have made them special wines not regular wines.

Maybach
Janasse
Yquem
Saxum
Rivers Marie
Sqn
Prum
Alban
Harris
Penfolds

Keeping it realistic in terms of what I can actually afford, I would include:

Donnhoff
Selbach-Oster
Bollinger
Billiot
Pierre Peters
Trimbach
Rhys
Lopez de Heredia
Edmunds St John
Jadot

Rats!
I forgot Peters, Trimbach and all German Riesling

Good call!

Leroy
Beaucastel
Krug
Ridge
Rousseau
Joh jos Prum
Coche dury
Leflaive
Muller Catoir
Lopez de Heredia

Foillard
Puffeney
Coudert
Huet
Angerville
Baudry
Pépière
Charvin
Prum
Hirtzberger
