I Won't Back Down I stand My ground

John, please send me an assorted case of your wines, and I will give out the ultimate wine review of FL wines. [beee.gif]

Otto

PS Please ship FedEx overnight. [foilhat.gif]

Not the first request… [1974_eating_popcorn.gif]

But the most brash request, at least I hope!!! [laughingneqw.gif]

John, I love you but- you said that UNCORK NEW YORK lists all the wine trails- it does not they omit the little wine trail over on Conesus Lake  btw great things going on there at Eagle Crest and Deer Run!!!

Ed,

Yes you are right they omit them and they do wine well…all for the few and none for the many…we need change… [dash1.gif] [dance2.gif]

John, it sounds like you had other issues with this guy, including the fact(?) that he did not like your wine? That’s a disclosure issue (backstory) that is relevant and part of the context of why you feel the way you do and your motivation in “outing” this guy?

Do you feel that are you being fair and unbiased without disclosing that this guy previously (at the very least) disagreed with your own assessment of your wine?

Peter ,

wrong wrong wrong…he never tasted my WINE EVER !!! Non of them !!! Now do you get it !!! [dash1.gif] He wanted free wine…he is a dog that has no taste… I have more wineries with me than against me on this one…
Re: I Won’t Back Down I stand My ground

[dance2.gif]

PS I have only meet a small hand few who does not like my wine, you would have to not know wine…I make sit down over 90 point wines…and will prove it double blind if pressed… [d_training.gif]

Philip

Is that the first time you are reading one of John’s posts? Most of them read like that. [rofl.gif]

John

Did you contact the guy to see if he tasted the wines you sent him? Maybe he thought that they sucked and did not want to say that publicly? So he was “saving” you?

How do you know that he just wanted free wine?

Daniel,

They were sent back to me FEDEX…so how th #uck could he have tasted them… [dance.gif] [dance2.gif]

Soon you will learn the code…everyone else has it down by now… [blackeye.gif]

John

I am more confused than ever, but I just swallowed 4 pills to help me concentrate.

You sent him wine, the wine came back to you, but you say all he wants is free wine?

Which he did not get any, because you got the wine back?

Where’s the beef? [shrug.gif] [shrug.gif] [shrug.gif] [shrug.gif] [shrug.gif]

Mmmmm…Brownies…

Funny you should talk about shrooms… [rofl.gif]

The beef is when you come into an AVA and you are a bad blogger you #uck-up the web with politution…if this get into the wrong hands it becomes the truth because it’s on a blog…they gave this a hole more respect than Thomas P…you got to be kidding me… [big_boss.gif]

John.

You know I like you. I’ve agreed with you when others have laughed. But this whole thing, I am truly confused by. What I read at their site seems fairly harmless. Did I miss somehow that he slammed you or the FL region in general? Also, there’s one comment on their blog from you that makes me cringe every time I read it, and I would appreciate if you could elaborate on the following because I don’t know what you’re talking about:

  1. Who are the “masters from CA, Italy, and NYS” that you have been taught by? And what did they teach you?

  2. What degree do you have that is known as better than a PHD in oenology? What institution did you earn it from?

  3. What wineries around the world do you consult for? Is this consulting paid or pro-bono?

And one last thing…do you really believe that only 50 people in the world ought to be allowed to write about wine because they are experienced enough? How did they get to be so experienced? How about someone who is extremely gifted at tasting. Do they need as much experience as someone who is totally untalented and has merely put in the time? Am I a bad blogger because I don’t have a PHD in oenology or an MW or a Master Sommelier? It goes without saying that I don’t agree with your viewpoint if that’s indeed what you believe.

Did I miss somehow that he slammed you or the FL region in general?

Yes…end of story…many times…

Who are the “masters from CA, Italy, and NYS” that you have been taught by? And what did they teach you?

In Ca I had the pleasure of being taught by bio-dynamic farmers how they work with the land, give back…at one I first was shown the use of propane torch to kill weeds, that was great you can turn sand into glass at over 2,100 F … was taught how not to kill the vines doing this as well as not killing myself… Who are they ?If they want to come forth it’s up to them, but think like this, you are dealing with national brands…do they really want me to ride off of their good name, or tarnish their name…?..

When I consult it’s with a contract of complete confidentiality…due to the same reasoning above…

Italy,

Family , friends, people who make peasant wine, I learned to make the most of what I have, they are very thrifty…masters of the earth and money management…trellising systems, cloning, and many old ways…that could be called bio- using the moon for racking timing… how to put the evil eye on someone…superstitious…

NYS: many, some dead amd now most alive…NYS offers the best Oenology learning experience, due to many in the field, either growers or PHD’s …they offered to me whatever I asked of them …It’s a very big state 240 wineries…public…thousands of micro winemakers that make killer juice…learned the most about yeast, indigenous, and cultured, as well as from ####### my son had worked with yeast during a summer job manipulating yeast genes, etc…fun things …

What wineries around the world do you consult for? Is this consulting paid or pro-bono?

who see above… pro-bono…it’s nice to share info with wineries with all around the world…remember I have family still in many different parts of Italy, in the wine biz in one way or another…many I will help until I drop, as they have helped me make the commercial jump…you don’t #ucking one day say hey I am going to make 1,000 cases of XYZ because I read a great blog… [rofl.gif]

And one last thing…
(1)
do you really believe that only 50 people in the world ought to be allowed to write about wine because they are experienced enough?

(2)
How did they get to be so experienced?

(3) How about someone who is extremely gifted at tasting.

(4) Do they need as much experience as someone who is totally untalented and has merely put in the time?

  1. It’s not the number of people it’s the quality, reliability, etc…

  2. drink thousands of different wines, then talk to me…

  3. go for them you still have to pay your dues, no free rides…

(4) your fourth person is $hit out of luck for fast-tracking, don’t you think…

I think that covers everything O + , STD free, for penis size PM me…

back to work…and you made me cringe today, sorry I still have the love, bro… [highfive.gif] … [d_training.gif] [big_boss.gif] [dance2.gif] [tease.gif]

I have this song down on the acoustic guitar…maybe some daisy dukes and the music video…all while drinking wine with my feet…while snipping wild game… [dance2.gif] [foilhat.gif] [laughingneqw.gif]

The drugs have worn off and I am back to being confused.

Daniel,

You and I need to have a great bottle of wine and just talk… [d_sunny.gif]

John.

I truly don’t get your hatred for wine bloggers. You have one blogger who you don’t like, but for that one guy there are hundreds of us who don’t get samples, pay all our own wine, don’t do it for commercial reasons, and disclose any conflict of interest. Baby? Bathwater?
