I put a sign on the first floor door this morning saying “Don’t bring up packages! We’ll put them in my car.” I’m sure he was not looking forward to lugging those 6 cases up the stairs – and I wasn’t looking forward to lugging them back down.
Patty Green, Evasham Wood, Cameron, Eyrie, Ken Wright, Belle Pente, Arterberry Marsh, Brooks, etc. and a smidgin’ of Ravenswood single vineyard zins. Got some good drinking in my near future!
I know the feeling. yesterday I was sitting in my car at lunchtime awaiting my delivery too. As I spied the FEDEX truck turn the corner I get a call on my cell. 'It’s FEDEX can you come down and get your four boxes?". This from a guy who always brings them up! Into the back of the car on home it went for lunch only after I destroyed all the evidence of boxes, styro and packing slips…
OK, thought I was the only one guilty of this, styro in the garbage, time to take out the kitchen garbage to cover it up. At least today was recycle day and my WTSO order arrived first thing.
Not to rub it in but as a kept man my SO paid for nearly all of the 6 cases. I know I’m supposed to feel guilty that I’m not doing the caveman thing and killing all the meat to bring home but oddly enough I don’t.
I highly recommend such arrangements, plus she ONLY likes good wine.

my wife has been on some sort of purse buying spree lately, so she isnt throwing stones at the wine box collection that is quickly piling up.
Mutually assured destruction, the key to any happy Wino marriage…
I do both the wine and purses. Shoes too if you must know. No need for cloak and dagger in our household. When in doubt hubby checks CellarTracker.
I have wine delivered to my sister’s office. So the poor guy has to lug it up some narrow winding stairs, and I have to lug it back down.
And I have a deal with my wife, I don’t ask how much she spends on shoes and she doesn’t ask how much I spend on wine. As long as the bills get paid, everyone is happy.
