I chilled down my red from Portugal!

TN: `06 Versatile Vinho Regional Alentejano, Portugal.

I have chilled wines such as this previously just to take the heat off! I have to admit this Versatile was a pretty big wine and at $16 Cdn is a relative steal. I will be buying more, that is for sure.

Color. Medium ruby, looks very attractive.
Nose. Blueberry and strawberry with a hint of spice.
Palate. Cherry, plum, good acidity with some soft dusty tannins. The wine`s structure softened a little with chilling but was still very drinkable. I managed to keep this one going for 3 days and found coffee on day 3. Chance buy but I am into Portugal these days so nicely surprised.
