How to spot a fake Petrus?

we tried this last year and it appeared to me to be fresh and I hope real
unfortunately no cork photo was taken but I opened it and it looked ok to my eye

purchased in Australia
foil not removed to check the cork
I hope it is real



any ideas or feedback on the labels?

I recently had a 61 Petrus with a friend who bought the wine on release, so I am confident that this is a real example. I happened to keep the cork and here is a photo of it, for what it’s worth. Unfortunately, I don’t have a picture of the bottle though.

there are many pictures of Pétrus labels on my blog http://www.academiedesvinsanciens.org

Pétrus changes labels almost every year, with the place of year and the typing being different.

In the past, not all bottles were labelled by the same printer.

You can send pictures to the domaine Pétrus and they could answer about the probability of a fake. But they will never say : “this is a true one”.

I have had big problems with my blog which collapsed when the site where it was stored exploded. The data base of pictures is in reconstruction. There are more than 20 K pictures. You can see them, but the link does not work. Sorry for that.
