Hi guys. Curious as to your thoughts on this. Is it ready?
Count me as curious as well…
The 03 was one of my great disappointments of 2014.
Had a 2004 and 2005 a few months ago…
2004 was great. 2005 needs more time. Was really not giving much.
15 yr rule holds for Beau imo. I think they show best with 20.
Last time I tried it was two years ago. At that point, my note says don’t touch until 2020. I’ve had a couple 2005 Coudoulet in the past year or two, and even that wine is not ready.
I’m with Faryan. I’m finishing up my last bottles from the late 80s and starting in on the early 90s now. I won’t be touching the 2005 for a long time to come so I can’t really answer from personal experience, but I like what happens to them with 15-20 years of age or more.
I would wait…I was just reminded of how much I love these wines with more age on them. I had the '94 a couple times in the past six months and that’s in a great place now. I’m still sitting on my 01’s & 04s…I would imagine that the 05s will need even more time.
+1
I haven’t tried the 2005 but I really try to not open this producer too young. I can report that the 1989 is drinking extremely well right now after tasting about 2 weeks ago.
