Hipster chefs.

Is it me, or does every young chef sport a fauxhawk with plugs in their ears and sleeves of tats on their arms?

I’m not a curmudgeon by nature, but when did being a chef become a hipster fashion statement?

They’re “artists”. And fauxhawks and plugs are soooo cool right now.

(not)

I can’t wait to see what these ear plug holes look like when the dudes are 80 and wrinkled.

Since the Food Network discovery Guy Fieri.

I’ve got tats and had as many as 6 piercings at one time when I was younger. I’m not against cultural deviance, but when everyone is doing the same thing because they think cooking sous vide is bad ass… it’s comical.

It makes me want to let the air out of their single-speed converted road bikes.

Joe,

Obviously you haven’t been to Brooklyn in a while… [whistle.gif]

I think we’re just getting old. I’ve got my 5 tats too but I don’t see the obsession with sticking all that shit on your face or stretching out your earlobes to look like a tribesman.

I got an email the other day that this fellow will be putting on a show:

It’s bad enough with him stinkin’ up Food TV. I can’t IMAGINE paying money to see him perform in person.

Bruce

I blame Top Chef.
