personally I think the correct recommendation between the Alba/Alto wines is YES.

the alto piemonte is making some of the best wines they’ve ever made right now I think… and Ive had some really awesome 50+ year old wines from the region that have aged gracefully no problem-o

If you’re looking for high acid red wines, don’t overlook Zinfandel. Acidity in zins can be monstrously high due to their inconsistent cluster ripening. You can get a wine with 15% alcohol and very ripe flavors that is still tear-inducingly high-acid.
