High End Wine Pricing - Would Dynamic Pricing Work?

All really good posts. Thanks everyone. I tend to think there is a place for some element of variable pricing at both the top wineries and the rest and there has got to be a better way to move wine w/o a lot of it going to Cameron at penny’s on the dollar.

Are you trying to write an algorithm?

The current model where I get good stuff from Cameron for pennies on the dollar works just fine for me. I think the valuation framework is really $25 for the fluids intrinsic value and $50 for the label, and if one doesn’t get the ‘benefit’ of the latter when at home, after its poured into a glass, why pay up for that component?

Yah clearly I agree since by the time October rolls around >50% of my entire inventory will be de Negoce! I don’t need/care about the story behind the wine. I just want good daily drinkers.
