Herb Lamb Vineyards help?

Herb Lamb Vineyards, Herb Lamb Cabernet (2004, 2005 vintages)

Curious if anyone has any feedback. Little data in CT, don’t remember seeing any professional ratings, prices out at $150/btl with a mailing list wait. Worth the cost for the scarcity? Compares to ??

The Lamb’s dont send their wines out for professional reviews so you wont find any there. I have had the 04 once and the 05 a few times They are truly tremendous wines and some of my favorite in Napa. Tons of stuffing and built for the long haul but also approachable young with a bit of air. Are they expensive, yes; worth the coin…?

I must also say that Jennifer Lamb makes a killer cheese plate for her guests. Their SB and EII cab is also outstanding as well.

Exatly what Tyler said. These are some of our favorite Napa Cabs and as far as $$$, IMO they are worth it. I would take the HL compared to some that are priced higher.
The SB is really terrific too.
You couldn’t find two nicer people than Herb & Jennifer.

I had four bottles of 2005 HL Cab in 2009. By far my favorite Napa wine that I had lst year.

They are awesome people and love what they are doing.

This is the only CA mailing list that I am still on.

I’ll chime in and agree to all of the above. I’ve had the 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 this year and each one is mind blowing. The 2000 is the best cab I’ve had from the 2000 Napa vintage by a mile.
