To be fair, the tariffs only apply to low alcohol rakes.
Rakes were in the mail via USPS, but have been delayed for some reason
. All ribbing aside, really hope the fire gets contained. The humidity has been 2-3X the norm and the winds have been low, so hopefully that helps a bit. Its officially fire season again. Really friggen hope its a tame season for a multitude of reasons!!!
Huge plumes of smoke coming up over the mountains again, it does not look like the fire stayed at the 2700 acres being reported. And now I just received a "prepare to evacuate " order from Sonoma, east of healdsburg. Another friggin fire.
A wildfire is in the area and is a possible threat to your location. An evacuation warning has been issued for North of Austin Creek Recreational Area, East of The Cedars, West of end of Mill Creek Rd., South of Stewarts Point-Skaggs Springs Rd. Be prepared to leave if an evacuation order is issued for your area. Gather essential items now to be ready to go. If you feel unsafe, do not wait for an evacuation order, leave immediately. If you have time, please check your neighbors to be sure they have received this alert

Fingers crossed for you and everyone else. Please be safe and keep us posted . . .
@Sarah_Stierch on twitter is a good follow for current info and links. There’s a lot of stuff happening.
Agreed. She’s on FB too and here’s her latest post:
Friends - We may have new evacuation orders coming for #NapaCounty for folks around/on Atlas Peak near 128 and 121. Please be ready to go if you’re asked. I hope things change, but, best to be prepared. Be safe. #MarkFire #HennesseyFire
Cheers
I thought the tariff was just on French rakes.
Italian rakes are free of duty.
At lunch I heard from a rep of a major grower that Kuleto Vineyards had burned - did not know about the winery itself. This is second hand news, so…
The fire is burning southward now with mandatory evacuations of Soda Canyon and Atlas Peak roads.

Two huge smoke plumes visible. This is just awful.
From Yountville

From the shop looking north

They are suggesting the evacuation of the west side of Lake Berryessa as fires are approaching from the north and south, potentially trapping people at the lake. More air tankers are being requested to buy time for evacuations.
Those are scary if not spectacular pics, Randy. My thoughts are with everyone in the area.
Here is a map showing three active fires in Napa Co. From top to bottom, they are
Gamble Fire 5000 acres
15-10 Fire 4500 acres
Hennessy Fire 2700 acres
All are 0% containment.
And just now for Sonoma - Fort Ross and Jenner . . .
WEST SONOMA COUNTY!
