Help with Pauillac

OP - consider current releases of d’Armailhac. I’ve been enjoying a bottle of the 2000 d’Armailhac [Pauillac] the last couple of nights – and this is a solid example of the AOC. I would expect modern releases to be at least comparable to. Most of my experience with this is property is from the 90’s, other than a few scattered examples from the 70’s and 80’s - when the name was in flux - but I’ve found that it keeps well enough, meriting scarce rack slots and patience. Today, this medium bodied garnet robed blend is showing pencil, cedar on the nose then a currant character. I have consumed a lot of this over the years, and think it was somewhat better younger - let’s say age 10 to 15 - but it depends on what people like in their Medocs. I’m notching this down to a B+ at age 25, and suggest it’s time to finish these, for those still holding. This is large production, and widely available, so I look forward to trying more recent harvests.
