Hello WB community. I have the good fortune of attending the Hospices de Beaune with my wife after competing in the Ironman 70.3 world championships in November. This will be my first time attending and I’m a bit overwhelmed with all of the available events to attend. We will be arriving in Beaune on a Thursday evening after 3 days touring champagne, and staying in a centrally located hotel. Our itinerary is wide open.
For those who have attended -
How did you structure your time between tastings and meal periods?
Is there a tasting experience at a specific house that punches above its weight class?
Is the auction itself a fun experience for those not bidding? (I have decided to not bid on any barrels as the uncertainty of tariffs and actually getting this wine back to the US seems to outweigh the joy of winning a bid).
Any and all advice is welcomed and appreciated!
