Help choosing cellar Thermometer/Hygrometer

Have a coupon for Radio Shack and thus would prefer getting it there. Anyone have any experience with any of the following models?

Thanks in advance.

I’d just buy the first/cheapest one.

The hygrometers on all those digital units are notoriously inaccurate.

Thanks Chris.

I think they are all pretty much the same functionally. That being said, I like Honeywells products the best. After all, they make and sell lots of thermostats so maybe their units are slightly better?

Chris knows this shit… [truce.gif]

My guess is that any of those would serve your purposes. I am pretty much a data junkie myself; so, in addition to the cheapest one from Radio Shack I have a SensorProbe 2 from AKCP that has a pair of temperature/humidity probes. See akcpinc.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The SensorProbe is neat because it (1) has a web interface that I can view from any computer and (2) it e-mails me if there are any changes in temperature or humidity.

Best,

Andrew

AJG, do you have a suggestion on where to get a SensorProbe2 and the accompanying sensors? My wine fridge is in the same mechanical room as my water heater and a few other things. I’m guessing I can use a water leak sensor with the SP2 as well.

Chris

I had the predecessor to the first one in the list. Finally went out after 4 years of use. Time to get another cheapie to replace it. Buy the cheap one.

Thanks Joe.

+1 - that is very cool! Any idea on the cost?
