Headlight/lamp/ilght device

Just throwing this out as a random discussion.

Back story: Cellar rat in an always transforming cellar. Stacks are always moving and with tight rows. My phone isnt cutting it. I tried rechargable lights, rechargeable batteries, and the other option.

I need a light to last more than 3 hrs. But dont want to dump a bunch of chemmy waste.

Would love some insight on cellar sustainability

Fenix makes good quality headlamps that are bright, rugged and have long life between charging. You can run it all day. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.
Here’s just one option

Thanks. Ill check them out. Worth it if it lasts!

I’ve had this one for a few years: https://nebo.acgbrands.com/en_US/transcend-rechargeable-headlamp.html

usb rechargable
detachable with a magnet so you can put it on a car hood or metal barrel rack
Only had to recharge it a few times so far

I’ve been using Black Diamond lights for a few years. I like that they’re dimmable and don’t seem to stop working halfway through the day. I haven’t checked out others, I’m sure there are a ton out there that work - but BDs have been working for me in the somewhat dim cellar

As Brian mentioned, Fenix is good.
Another brand is Nitecore. Headlamps – Nitecore Store
I have bought both - mostly for sailing at night. So high lumens are needed.
Neither brand is inexpensive but they are durable, and bright.

FWIW we needed 25+ headlamps for the harvest crew every year. I’d usually buy some mid range units off Amazon. I’d get a shitload of double A batteries at Costco and usually halfway thru the 7-8 weeks of harvest, I’d need another battery run. I’d usually lose 25-30% of the lamps after harvest. Cost of doing business.
