Red for me, but like everyone else I have had some great white wines.
Best wine experiences are always with red wines except for when they are with white wines
As an average of experiences I’m pretty sure it would be red by a solid margin.
The highest of the highs being Champagne but just having more great experiences with reds.
Whites can certainly be profound and notable but I’d be hard pressed to identify any number of great performances being as high as the best reds I’ve had.
I love white wines, esp. white Burgundy, German Riesling and Champagne. Have had great, great wines from all of these types and others (Laville Haut Brion and Haut Brion Blanc). But, if I had to list my 10 favorite wines of all time, I think all would be red.
